AUSTIN, TEXAS — The Central Texas property management team of TIG Real Estate Services is pleased to announce that Lavaca Plaza located at 504 Lavaca in Austin, Texas, achieved the prestigious LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council this month. Management of the 125,000-square-foot, multi-tenant office building is overseen by Lisa Lehman, the property manager, with assistance from Joe Aguire, the chief engineer, and the property management support team in TIG’s Austin office.
“This is a great accomplishment indeed, I appreciate everyone’s hard work over the past eight months,” says Russ Davis, the director of real estate services for Seattle-based Unico Properties, LLC, which owns the property.
According to the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED certification indicates the building has achieved measurable standards in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable operations. The LEED rating system evaluates both a building’s physical systems and the way the building is occupied and operated by its managers.
